With the amount of publicity in the press nowadays and the expansion of the TV network we are all becoming far more exposed to the Spirit World. Many of you will have seen the programme Most Haunted and the role Psychics play at such Events. I assist and support those participating in the event to work with the energies who come through and to get an enhanced awareness of what they are experiencing.
At Paranormal Events, I am sometimes asked whether Spirits can hurt you. It is a good question, they can manifest through a human being exerting a certain degree of control over someone, which may make them feel unwell or uncomfortable for a short period of time. There are Universal Laws in place, which are unseen Laws which keep the balance in place. The conscious of the person affected always remains and it is important to speak to them and bring them forward so they are aware of what is happening, a firm request to ask the Spirit to leave is normally sufficient. The person that has been used may feel uncomfortable for a period of time afterwards, but will recover. It is important that you remember there are helpers on this side as well as in the other dimensions to help this removal to take place.
Hauntings

I work to move the Spirits on to what is known as the Light, releasing the property or the person from the links it had to it, so that daily life can carry on unhindered.
Some people think they have a ghost, when what the actually have is residual energy of a powerful event that has taken place at that location, it is where an energy imprint is imposed on a building. We are all often exposed to this on a more subtle level, think about when you walk into a room where a row has taken place, you can often sense that you feel uncomfortable, but don't understand quite why - when something traumatic has happened, or when there has been a lot of activity historically in that area, then an imprint will be imposed which can be accessed and an essence of those involved and what happened is imprinted there, a bit like a film clip which is looping round and round forever more. This is when the term Ghost is more appropriately used, for a Ghost does not interact or communicate, it continues through the cycle of events that it is playing out.
When the Spirit starts to communicate with the residences of the property and they are uncomfortable with this, then we have a Haunting. Spirits have the ability to communicate and have an essence of consciousness within them.
Spirits get trapped for a number of reasons, it can be because they are so attached to someone on the Earth plane they cannot leave, they may have a material attachment, such as drugs or financial, or their death may have been so sudden or tragic that they are not aware that they have passed over. For whatever the reason is they can become trapped between the dimensions, as the door to the next level is only open for approximately 90 hours after the Spirit leaves the body, after that time, if they want to move on they have to search out a living human who has the ability to anchor their energies sufficiently so that the doorway can be activated again for them to return, this is what is know as Soul Rescue work and which I seem to be doing more and more of.
It is extremely sad when I encounter Spirits who don't know that they have passed over and continue to live out their life but get distressed when they are ignored, this often comes to light when they find a new family moving into "their home" and try to make themselves known, as in their eyes the new family is squatting in their home, this leads us to terms such as “haunting,” “haunted house”, etc.
Not all Spirits want to move on, they are happy absorbing the energy of the area they are in and also absorbing energy from those that they come into contact with, which is not always welcomed, and in such circumstances I would be asked to remove the Spirit from the property and move them onto the next dimension.
